Most people get tarot readings because they want to know what their future holds in terms of their relationships. People looking for love want to see if they will meet their special someone soon. The people who go for these readings want to know where their relationships are going.

People in unhappy relationships often hire a tarot reader to provide them with some insight. Relationships that are not in the best shape can sometimes be salvaged. There are times, however, when this is not possible. Ten tarot cards that appear when a breakup is imminent are listed below.

Three of Swords

Three of Swords

In the Minor Arcana of the tarot, the Three of Swords is known as the Heartbreak card. When someone or something breaks someone’s heart, this card appears. So, whenever a querent asks about the future of their relationship, this is never good news.

That’s a sign that they are likely to break up. If it does not, it could be a sign that a mate has some disappointing news. For instance, if the mate learns of bad news, that will affect the querent as well.

Ten of Swords

Ten of Swords

When the Ten of Swords appears in any reading, it signifies the end of something. It is the card that represents endings and means that it is time to start over. Therefore, it is not hard to understand why one card no one wants in a relationship reading.

This card, however, is a sure sign that the relationship is ending. That is why the querent should have this reading. The blow will be less traumatic since they will be aware of what is to come.

Hermit

The Hermit

The Hermit is one of the Major Arcana cards in the Tarot deck. This is the one that represents being alone, hence its name. Relationship readers do not want to see this card. Either there will be a breakup, or the querent or the mate will withdraw.

In any relationship, prolonged separation can easily lead to the end. Remember that couples grow apart and stay apart. In that case, a breakup is inevitable.

Seven of Swords

Seven of Swords

In the Minor Arcana, the Seven of Swords is always a sign of dishonesty and trickery. A card like this can indicate that someone is cheating. It could be the querent himself or herself, which the querent would know. That will end up coming out and will hurt the relationship. It is not difficult to see that.

The card can also indicate that their mate is either cheating or not being honest about something important. In either case, trust is lacking. The relationship will not survive if confidence is lacking.

Three of Cups Reversed

Three of Cups Reversed

When a tarot card appears reversed in a reading, it can be a good or bad sign. In other words, the opposite meaning of what the card represents usually comes up. Therefore, the Three of  Cups represents a new creation or a celebration. For aspiring parents to see when they have a reading, this is an excellent card.

In a relationship reading, this is not a sound card to see. A third party is involved. There is some cheating going on, then. That usually destroys any relationship when it is discovered.

Five of Pentacles

Five of Pentacles

The Five of Pentacles is a card in the Minor Arcana of the Tarot that represents a loss. Loss of health and wealth, as well as the breakdown of relationships. According to the card, the relationship isn’t in good shape. As a result, there is a good chance that the partnership will end.

At the same time, it depends on how unhealthy the relationship is. Salvaging may be possible if there is potential. That largely depends on whether or not there is a reason to fix it.

Two of Cups Reversed

When the Two of Cups is upright, a relationship is solidifying. It shows that the couple is on the same page regarding their desires and attraction. The card can, however, be interpreted negatively in reverse. Consequently, there is a decline in appeal. There is no interest left.

When this is an issue, two things need to happen. Either if a tiny spark is found, to find a way to ignite the rest of the relationship again. Or, it means to let go and allow it to end simply.

Five of Cups

Five of Cups

When the Five of Cups appears in a reading, it indicates disappointment and hurt feelings. This card suggests that the querent or their partner has lost feelings of love and attraction in a relationship reading. There are two possibilities here.

Either the querent who feels this way comes up with the courage to tell their mate. The mate will tell the querent this hard truth. Either way, there will be plenty of tears. If love and attraction don’t exist in a relationship, then how can it survive?

Tower

The Tower

The Tower card represents abrupt destruction. This card indicates that a relationship will end unexpectedly and painfully in a reading. You can tell how it will end from the surrounding cards. The Seven of Swords will catch the cheating mate if it appears in the spread.

As long as the Hermit is in the spread, the mate will suggest to their partner that they need some time alone to reflect. For that to occur, they need to break up. Either way, the Tower is going to make the experience terrifying and painful.

Death

There is a strong likelihood that a relationship will end when the Death card appears in a reading about relationships. Death represents endings and death (but not always a physical one). There are times when the querent feels that the relationship won’t last. They would have sought a reading for that reason.

However, sometimes they don’t believe their troubled relationship will end. There is no way to revive this card when it appears.
