Ten of Wands

Ten of Wands

The Ten of Wands (Ten of Fire in the Penguin tarot) is the card that represents being forced to work extra hard and being burdened. You have too many responsibilities on your hands. You are finding that coping is becoming even more challenging. However, it also represents that a difficult cycle that involves hard work and labor is coming to an end. This card represents the completion of that cycle as well.

These responsibilities that you are having to fulfill are most definitely weighing you down. Life is becoming quite tough for you because of it. However, remember that these difficult periods are temporary and after your job is completed, you will be able to rest and go on some type of vacation if you can recharge. Examples of this are that you have to work two jobs that are only allowing you eight hours of a daily break which you have to use for sleeping. Another is being a caregiver to an elderly parent which is a very difficult job. But these types of responsibilities are not going to last forever. And there is respite waiting as well.

When the Ten of Wands is in reverse, it can mean two different things. Either you are shouldering all of the responsibility to the point that it will make you ill, or you have delegated some of that responsibility. The reversal can also be indicative of the burdensome time being completed.
