There are so many ways to use tarot cards that go beyond doing readings for yourself and for others. In fact, you can use them in any way you choose as it can be an excellent self-development tool. Other than doing readings for yourself, you can use the tarot for these 3 things:
- Meditation – If you are meditating, you will want to pull a card first and meditate on it and allow your intuition to tell you what the card means. Especially if you created a routine to meditate for the first thing in the morning. And if you pull a card, meditate on it. And if you pull a card that may have a negative connotation such as the Tower, the 10 of Swords, the 3 of Swords, and so on, it will be hard to wrap your head around what those cards could indicate. But allow your intuition to guide you. If the Tower comes up, allow yourself to be prepared for surprises good or bad. It may be a blessing in disguise. If the 10 of Swords comes up, then that means there will be an ending to something. If the 3 of Swords comes up, then this could mean an old hurt that someone caused may resurface and look into why it is coming up.
- Sparking creativity – If you are a writer or if you are any type of artist, the use of the tarot is a great tool. Especially if you are dealing with writer’s block or a blockage of an idea of what to paint or draw. Pull a card, and in no time you will be inspired by it so it can help you find what to write about or what to create based on what the card you pull represents. And this can even be a useful tool for marketing and business bloggers or even technical writers. For instance, if you are a technical writer for a handyman company’s blog, and you are wondering what to write about – and the Tower comes up. Then you will be sparked to write about issues that can cause serious electrical or plumbing disasters.
- Reviewing your day – Have you thought about not just journaling about the events that happened in your day but pulling a card at the end to tap into the messages that it is bringing you about the day you had? Then that is a good idea to do that because if you had a day where everything could go wrong and yet the 3, 9, or 10 of Cups card comes up which are cards having to do with abundance and wishes – then you will be inclined to look at anything to be thankful for. Or if a card with a negative connotation comes up, think about it objectively and find out what lessons the day had been teaching you.
Those are just a few examples of how you can use the tarot cards other than only doing readings. And if there are other ways you can incorporate the cards into your life, then by all means! The sky is the limit on how the tarot can help you.
