The Wheel of fortune card of the Major Arcana of the tarot represents brand new changes, new opportunities, luck, and destiny. This is the card that comes up whenever a chance is being taken, or one should be taken. And this can be a good card to see if one has been facing a situation that has been stationary. Hearing about a change happening is good to hear unless the change is not for the better.
Sometimes changes that happen that are depicted by this card will not be for the better. Remember that this is also the card that represents changes due to karma. Therefore, if someone had been doing bad deeds, then they would experience a karmic change of events. For instance, if someone is racking up credit card bills then they would end up having to face a tough situation by not being approved for loans due to bad credit. Therefore, they could potentially lose their credit card as well as not be able to apply for a new one.
Let’s keep using that freshman example. Either this card fits a new set of materials being taught in a particular class, or a new semester – or even finishing grade nine and entering grade ten which is the sophomore year – and so on.
When the Wheel of Fortune comes up in reverse, it can be indicative of bad luck or misfortune, a mishap, or a setback that was not predicted. It boils down to disappointment.
Astrologically this card is tied to Jupiter and the Wheel of Fortune is the tenth card of the Major Arcana.
